The Counseling Center helps individuals who have finished residential treatment programs and have progressed to a point where they may reside on their own but seek continuing sobriety and mental health support. In order to refer a person to our center, they have to be:
- 14 years of age or older
- Gone through detox for drugs and/or alcohol
- Medically stable
- In need of specialized treatment for sustaining sobriety or addressing mental health disorders
- Devoted to participate in mental health therapy to treat drug or alcohol use and co-occurring disorders
Absolutely! We keep all communications and patient information in confidence. We only talk about their recovery with them, you as their medical provider, and their approved relatives.
When you submit a referral to The Counseling Center, a member of our team will respond promptly, no matter the time or day of the week. We’ll discuss if our services fit the individual’s current needs or if they ought to seek out some other type of treatment for their present stage of addiction or mental health rehabilitation.
If we determine The Counseling Center At Duluth is the best choice for them, we’ll proceed with a psychological evaluation and talk about their insurance coverage and potential payment plans. Once this is complete, we’ll discuss the proper course of action for them and get them enrolled in one of our adaptable outpatient programs.
